Grantsville
The church of Christ at Grantsville is looking for a young, highly motivated individual desiring to help begin and cultivate a faithful congregation in the western part of Maryland. This unique situation has unlimited potential of congregational growth and spiritual development. Currently, we are holding once-a-month Bible studies with a predominately young group (18-24), but are looking forward to setting up an every week service on Sundays as well as a Wednesday night Bible study.
As the preacher of the church of Christ at Grantsville, your duties will include working side-by-side with Nathan Marshall, local high school and college educator, in teaching and leading the local community towards the truth, creating and delivering two sermons a week, and securing any outside support that Nathan cannot gain you.
Grantville, MD is nestled in the picturesque Negro Mountains with access to highly acclaimed Wisp Ski Resort and gorgeous Deep Creek Lake. You are also minutes from Frostburg State University, Cumberland, MD, and Morgantown, WV. Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh, PA are in close proximity as well.

The elders of the Wildercroft church of Christ are actively searching for a full time evangelist. If you are interested or know os some evangelist who may be interested in coming here, please have the person contact one of the elders via telephone. The interested evangelist should also write us a letter with information about himself, his family and his experience and preparation in reference to the work of an evangelist.
Church members gave the elders descriptive characteristics of the next evangelist. We prefer a man who is very knowledgeable of the bible. We prefer a young to middle age person, preferably a family man or an evangelist with wife and children.
We are desirous of one who is highly motivated with a pleasant personality and a willingness to work with people regardless of age, race or ethnicity. He must be willing to conduct personal work, teach bible classes and engage in other routines normally done by the evangelist. He would bring lessons for both worship services on Sunday. One of the objectives of the church is to emphasize and promote the spiritual and chronological growth of the congregation. Our evangelist must be willing to espouse this objective and work assiduously toward its accomplishment.
It is desirable that the evangelist be willing to commit verbally to a long tenure. We feel that this is necessary at this time.
The Wildercroft church of Christ is located in Riverdale, Maryland, approximately twenty miles Northeast of Washington, D.C. It is about thirty miles South of Baltimore, Maryland. The congregation is more than seventy years old. There are ninety multracial members, two elders and four deacons.
