McMinnville
We are a congregation of approximately 60 members seeking an experienced evangelist to work with us in a full-time capacity. McMinnville is a beautiful small city of about 35,000 in an area of 80,000+ an hour outside Portland, Oregon. Yamhill County is a primarily agricultural area and is the home of many who commute to the greater Portland area for work. It is a growing area but the towns here retain their homey, small-town feeling. The weather is very mild year round and the scenery is breathtaking with many things to do and see very nearby.
We are a close-knit, family-oriented church full of love and warmth striving to preserve unity in the bond of peace. Our desire is to grow spiritually and numerically as we spread the gospel in our area.
Qualified individuals will possess the following traits:
1) A strong desire to cultivate the Word of God both within and without the group;
2) A seasoned and mature knowledge of the scriptures;
3) Be a motivating and encouraging influence while pursuing peace and unity;
4) Positive references of previous fellow-laborers;
Please be prepared to submit several recorded examples of sermons or classes of various preaching styles including topical and expository.
An 18-month open-ended review period is desired prior to any lengthier commitments on either party’s behalf. The term is negotiable as is salary. It is our intent to be fully supporting but understand also that additional work or support may be required dependent upon individual financial needs.

Sweet Home
The Sweet Home church of Christ (www.sweethomechurch.com) has been a steadfast and faithful part of Christ's church in this community of 9000 since 1951. Today our attendance averages about 50-60 members every Lord's day and provides classes ranging from adult to the very young. We are at this time helping to support 3 other men and fully supporting our current preacher. Since we currently don't have elders we are looking for a person with a reputation for soundness in the doctrine and who is self-motivated. In addition he should have good communication skills and be able to prepare lessons that clearly edify as well as energize the listener. He should be as comfortable around young people as he is around adults, have community out reach skills, able to maintain and update the web site, put together a weekly bulletin and offer midweek and home Bible studies. This person needs to be unafraid of doctrinal challenges and controversial subjects that sometimes needs attention. A family man would be desirable but not necessary.
